Entry to the ArtStation challange Feudal Japan: The Shogunate- Character Design

The challange was to desig eight characters (Samurai, Shogun, Daimyo, Ninja Peasant/Villager, Folklore Ghost/Monster, Geisha, Emperor); each of tem telling their own story with their clothing, adornments, and gestures. We needed to tell a compelling story that draws the viewer into the time, the people and the drama of the feudal society of Japan (1185-1603).
